InOrwell's book about poverty in Northern England shocked the country.
This year, join us as we retrace his route telling the stories of Austerity Britain. Throughout the anniversary year, we will be bringing you stories from along the route — stateskan Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Barnsley, Sheffield and Wigan and places sattesman and, just as importantly, asking people from all walks of life to share theirs.
